With a sunny waterside terrace, the Molencafé of Molen de Ster is Utrecht’s best kept secret.

The Molencafé is open from Friday to Sunday from 10:00 am for a cup of delicious fair-trade coffee, freshly baked Dutch mini pancakes, lunch and a casual drink.

You are welcome on our terrace on the waterfront on Saturday.

Take a look at our menu while you take a seat on the terrace. Don’t have time to sit down? Order from our To Go menu and enjoy your coffee or smoothie while you visit the farm animals and continue your walk.

Looking for a nice, centrally located venue for a birthday party or family gathering?

Order from the menu or let us put together a tasty serving platter for you. It’s not a real birthday party without a cake. Fortunately, we bake the most delicious cakes and treats in house!

Besides good food and drinks, there is always something to do at the mill.

In our cultural agenda you will find the upcoming events.

While the millers are sawing wood on Saturday, you can get a tour of the mill. Go up the first floor together and see the mill from a new perspective.

For children up to 6 years old, there is a nice playground next to the terrace that is closed off with a fence so that mom, dad, grandpa and grandma can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee on one of the benches.

Many farm animals live in the mill yard and they love it when you come by to say hello.
